NEUK events are free to attend. That is possible because of the organisations below, and it is the thing we protect above everything else.
Where the money goes
NEUK has no staff and no overheads. Support pays for the programme directly.
Speaker travel
Travel and accommodation for invited speakers from outside the region.
Catering
The free lunch and drinks that keep people in the room after the talks.
Student bursaries
Travel costs so students from other campuses can attend without being out of pocket.
Sponsor a seminar
Sponsorship is straightforward and the audience is specific: synthetic biology researchers, PhD students and postdocs across five North East universities.
Sponsors are credited on the event poster, in the announcement across our social channels, on the event listing here, and from the podium on the day.
